I love the flash animators and contributors in this NG community. At the moment, I'm freelancing from one area to the other to see if I have what it takes to be a better freelancer. Voice acting services available and at the moment, its free of charge.

So my main concern as a web developer is that I need to show some portfolio. Now how the hell am I supposed to do that? I mean, I could do it for free but I won't pay to make one or two to make as a portfolio. I often wonder how other freelancing web developers do it. Displaying a portfolio means putting up a showcase of previous work to prove an individual's worth before taking on the job. Easier said than done when I have no assigned work to do. Ugh. This frustrates me so much, I could kill a person to give me a well-paid job. Just for the sake of building my own portfolio. And for the sake of making more money as well.

So far, I have been blogging on to my other site, Bruneian Dollar (free Blogspot hosting), and sure I could use that as a portfolio. But it's a blogging platform. What can I do about other features of a website like:
->E-commerce
->Forums
->Flash/Dynamic
->etc

Because I have been scouring over the Internet to find a free webhosting FTP Server, just to display what I can make. I don't need a domain name, just the web hosting. Sigh.

On a side note, I successfully got a job as a Junior Programmer at some local IT company I applied to. So far, the info they got on their website is insufficient enough for me to know what kind of IT they are into. I'm not that fancy with software and hardware kinda deal. I'm more on the Internet kind of IT. Meaning websites and e-commerce mostly. But still, hopefully, the job I'm getting into shouldn't pose a lot of problem now that I should be able to get paid and start hosting my portfolio to get a side-income.

Really need to build up a capital to start a business of my own. One day...
